Camp Crystal Lake is reopening, despite its grim reputation. As a group of young counsellors prepares the grounds for summer visitors, someone begins picking them off one by one. Cunningham’s 1980 slasher helped define a horror franchise, building its scares from an isolated setting, mounting suspicion and a mystery best left unspoiled.
